The big Google May 2022 core update may not have been fully done on June 9th, we are seeing many reports of big changes after it was done rolling out. Google Search Console’s legacy message viewer is going away in August. Twitter removed the nofollow attributes from its links for some reason. Google added documentation on vary cookie support for signed exchanges. Google Ads said it will address concerns over third-party sales solicitations and poor advice. Plus, I released another vlog today.

As you remember, the Google May 2022 core update officially started on May 25th and officially ended on June 9th. Google is removing the legacy Google Search Console messages on August 1, 2022. If you try to access the old messages console Google has a warning at the top that reads “Important: This report won’t be available after Aug 1, 2022. Twitter, sometime over the past week or so, has removed the nofollow attribute from its links. This is unusual for a number of reason, the largest is that Twitter had nofollowed links on its social network since 2008 on bio links and 2009 on all tweets. So why change it now? - New Google Documentation On Vary: Cookie Support For Signed Exchanges
Google has recently added new information around Vary: Cookie support in the signed exchanges Google Search help documents. This comes shortly after Google decided to bring support signed exchanges for some desktop sites. - Google Ads To Address Concerns Over Third-Party Sales Solicitations & Poor Advice
You probably get these emails all the time from a third-party Google Ads rep asking you to make adjustments to your campaigns, specifically to increase budgets and to go all in on RSAs, responsive search ads. Menachem Ani On New Google Ads Clients & E-Commerce With Google Ads

I del ett, we spoke about who is Menachem Ani and also about how to structure performance max campaigns in Google Ads. In part two, we talk about onboarding new clients and e-commerce with Google Ads.
Menachem told us sometimes clients come to him from other agencies, and a lot of the time, it is from customers who are starting from scratch. He said it is easier to take over a client with an account because they already have data and numbers to work with. I then asked him about red flags about taking on Google Ads clients, and he said things to watch out for, including not giving campaigns enough time to perform. So often they like to do a quick audit of the campaigns prior to taking on the client.
In terms of how much time you need to give a campaign, it varies, it depends on budget and volume. It also can vary on the cost per click, but you need a certain level of conversions and traffic to measure. Sometimes it can take four weeks, and sometimes it can take twelve weeks. During those weeks, you are actively tweaking the campaigns to improve things and make progress.
I asked him if there was a situation where Google Ads was not the right fit for a customer. He said when it comes to lower order value with private label brands, and Google Ads might not be a good fit.
We then transitioned to talking about all Google is doing around e-commerce and what he is doing to leverage that. He said first thing, do not be resistant to change, adopt it and figure out how to make the new thing work for your clients. We also discussed the confusion between Google Ads, and Google Merchant Center organic versus ads. He gave us a brief history of this and how this is changing.

Google tillåter inte donationer till välgörenhet i utbyte mot företagsrecensioner

Google har sagt till Joy Hawkins att det strider mot dess riktlinjer att ge välgörenhetsdonationer i utbyte mot en positiv recension av din företagsprofil.
Det skulle gå specifikt emot falsk engagemangspolicy som lyder: "Betalar, uppmuntrar eller uppmuntrar till att publicera innehåll som inte representerar en genuin upplevelse." En donation till välgörenhet skulle betraktas som "incitament" och därmed mot reglerna.
Glädje skrev, "I det här fallet får personen som lämnar recensionen inte tekniskt incitamentet eftersom pengarna går till en välgörenhetsorganisation, men Google bekräftade att det fortfarande strider mot riktlinjerna. Även om användaren som lämnar recensionen tekniskt sett inte får pengarna, kan det fortfarande leda till partiskhet mot en positiv recension med tanke på incitamentet för en donation. I slutändan vill inte Google att kundupplevelsen ska påverkas på något sätt."
