Google arbetar fortfarande med att få exakta datumtidsstämplar i sökresultaten

Google is still working on getting the timestamps accurate in the search results and news search results. Several publishers, including the Director of SEO at USA Today and the SEO Editor for Wall Street Journal, complained about the inaccurate timestamps in Google Search the other day.
In which, Danny Sullivan from Google replied that he thinks the Google Search team is looking into these issues.
Kyle Sutton the Director of SEO at USA Today said on Twitter “Google… between on-page update times and article structured markup, you should have all the data you need to show fresh timestamps. Why can’t you keep up? You’re crawling often. Users think we’re not current when we are.”
Will Flannigan the SEO Editor for the Wall Street Journal also chimed in saying “FWIW we’re experiencing time stamp issues as well. Sometimes seeing “4 days ago” on stories published less than 4 hours ago. It’s frustrating. I found asking for a recrawl sometimes works.”

I also spoke with several other publishers, off the record, about this and they confirmed their frustrations with this Google Search issue.
Danny Sullivan from Google replied saying “I’ll pass it on. I think we’ve been looking at this. Appreciate it can be frustrating. It’s more complicated than it might seem when it comes to dates, but we’ll work on it.”

This has been something Danny said also tillbaka 2018 around dates and timestamps in the search results. It is an ongoing issue that Google Search continues to somewhat struggle with.

Dr. Michio Kaku At Google

Here is a photo from the Google NYC office from a week or so ago where you have Dr. Michio Kaku giving Google Talk at the office there.
Dr. Michio is an American theoretical physicist, futurist, and popularizer of science. He is a professor of theoretical physics in the City College of New York and CUNY Graduate Center.
He was there to talk about his book, Quantum Supremacy: How the Quantum Computer Revolution Will Change Everything.
I found the image on Instagram.

Google Business Profiles Testing Image Slider

Google is testing adding an image carousel directly in the business profile panel. So at the top of a business profile listing you see these business images. In this test, you can swipe the images to see more.
This was spotted by Mike who posted a few photos of it in the Lokalt sökforum. I took those images and made it into a GIF so you can see what it looks like in action:
Mike wrote, “As of this morning I noticed the ability to side scroll the top image/videos in the listings on mobile. Like a carousel.”
Yep, it does look like that.

Google Business Profile Bugg med att bjuda in nya ägare

Google Business Profiles has a bug that prevents you from inviting a new owner to your Business Profile listing. You can invite new managers, but inviting new owners does not currently work (at least when I wrote this story).
This issue was posted in the Local Search Forums earlier this week where seaniaaa wrote, that “both outgoing, when we are adding clients to their GBP, and incoming, when new clients are adding us to their GBP, we are all unable to select “Owner” access level when sending invites. It only lets you pick the “Manager” access level. This just started happening over the last couple of days. Multiple clients. Chrome is fully up to date. You click to select Owner and it just doesn’t do anything. No error message or warnings at all.”
Supposedly this is a widespread issue impacting anyone trying to add a new owner to their business profiles.
To add new owners or managers to your Google Business Profile, follow these steps:
- Go to your Business Profile.
- Click Menu Menu and then Business Profile settings and then Managers.
- At the top left, click Add Invite new users.
- Enter a name or email address.
- Under “Access,” choose Owner or Manager.
- Click Invite.
I am hoping by the time this story goes out, the issue will be resolved.
