Zuckerberg Accepts Elon Musk’s Cage Match Challenge: ‘Send Me Location’
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg responded to Twitter owner Elon Musk’s challenge for a cage match.
Zuckerberg posted a screenshot of the Tweet in which Musk said “I’m up for a cage match if he is” with text over it that read “Send Me Location” on his Instagram story on Wednesday.
Musk initially posed the challenge over reports that the Meta CEO may be launching a text-based Twitter rival called “Threads.”
In a Tweet posted on Tuesday, the Twitter owner initially said, “I’m sure Earth can’t wait to be exclusively under Zuck’s thumb with no other options.”
“At least it will be ‘sane.’ Was worried there for a moment,” he said, adding a smiley face with cold sweat emoji.
Responding to Musk’s Tweet, another user wrote “Better be careful @elonmusk I heard he does the ju jitsu [sic] now.”
To which Musk challenged Zuckerberg, writing “I’m up for a cage match if he is lol.”
Zuckerberg, the founder and CEO of Facebook, recently won his first Brazilian jiu-jitsu event, a hobby he said he picked up during the pandemic. He posted video of a training session on his Instagram over the weekend and said “starting to prepare for our MMA debuts” with a winking emoji.
Musk is also trained in martial arts and challenged Russian President Vladimir Putin to “single combat” in March of last year over the invasion of Ukraine.
