India’s Silicon Valley never ceases to amuse with its quirks. In what seems to be a patently Benguluru moment, a techie based out of the city shared an anecdote that involves a WhatsApp group, a ladder, and a random dude.
In his society’s WhatsApp group, someone asked for a ladder for an hour. Akashlal Bathe pinged the person and asked what ‘biz’ he was into. The rando replied that he requires the ladder for fitting AC. The techie responded that what he meant was, “What business was he into?’
He also praised the fellow societymate’s WhatsApp DP and asked if he was into photography or something. Even before the response came from the other end, Akashlal asked again, ‘What’s with the WhatsApp status ‘Rapido?’ He also proceeded to Google, and *bam* was mighty surprised to find that the ‘random dude’ was none other than Rapido’s co-founder Aravind Sanka.. The founder confirmed his profile, while Akash excitedly stated that this is going up on LinkedIn.

In his viral LinkedIn post, the Bengaluru techie shared two screenshots of the amusing conversation., along with the profile pic of the Rapido founder. When the users asked if he shared his resume (as he should not have), he in fact did not. Obviously, it would have ruined the moment. The user’s comments on the post were equally amusing. Many are now considering moving to the city to relish a similar experience. One user remarks, try living in Lutyens Delhi and you might find out, your neighbor is Paytm’s founder Vijay Shekhar Sharma.
