Free stuff for my Medium subscribers!

A word from the author.

These two free YouTube and TikTok content marketing strategies had me rather busy. Hence my recent absence from Medium for a bit. Testing content marketing strategies is time-consuming.

Therefore, I tested both strategies until I generated some sales. Not millions of dollars, but the point is that it works! This strategy was tested with affiliate products from Clickbank, Warrior Plus, and JV Zoo.

Whether these content marketing strategies with YouTube and TikTok will work for you, remains to be seen. Because there is no “one size fits all” when it comes to affiliate marketing and making money online.

It worked for me, and that is why I am sharing this with you today. As my profile says, “Creating Content & Affiliate Marketing Traffic Strategies Is My Time While Testing And Writing About Them is My Dime!”.

Before we get into these strategies, there are 5 Free Tools you will need to make this work for you. They are.

1. VidIQ Browser Extension. (affiliate link)

2. Tube Buddy Browser Extension. (affiliate link)

3. Canva Design Tool.

4. Linktree One Page Website.

5. Chat GPT.

These 5 free tools, or elements making up these strategies are of paramount importance. With your Linktree one-page website, for instance, you are going to redirect to videos, profiles, free giveaways, and affiliate offers. But I leave the creativity and research up to you.

Breathtaking Animation Never Seemed So Simple To Do! Now you can create attention-grabbing explainer videos, video ads and social content all inside one simple interface. No tech or design skills are needed! — Source

TikTok strategy for affiliate marketing.

This must be one of the easiest, or least time-consuming content marketing strategies. Because it only involves you including your Linktree one-page website URL in your TikTok bio.

But in order for that URL to become a hyperlink, you will need to have more than 1000 followers. You can still include the link if you have less than 1000 followers. But that means your visitor will have to highlight the URL and then visit.

It will not be a hyperlink, that redirects immediately to your Linktree one-page website. Just visit the site called Linktree, create your free account and start getting your affiliate offers on the page.

For this, you might want to watch a few YouTube tutorial videos, there are literally hundreds of videos that will show you how to create a Linktree site.

Start commenting on other people’s TikTok posts and respond to other comments as well. Like other people’s work, add it to your favourites. This is one of the fastest ways to gain subscribers, so you can reach the 1000 mark and the “hyperlink” privilege!

Use Chat GPT to come up with the best video titles, descriptions, and tags. But we will be covering that next with the YouTube strategy. The method with Chat GPT remains the same for both platforms, TikTok and YouTube.

Using Chat GPT to rank YouTube videos.

This is where Chat GPT comes in. But many people still don’t get the desired results, and I think I know why. Because I used to have the same problem.

However, I did figure out a way to use Chat GPT and rank page one for ALL the video tags or search phrases used. But I will provide proof soon because it does not stop with Chat GPT, there is a strategy to it.

First, you want to choose the affiliate product you want to promote, for the purpose of this demonstration I used a JV Zoo product called “Video Profit FX”. Your aim is to target people looking for that specific product!

Next, think of a good video title that includes most of your keywords. In this case, something like: “Making Money Online With Video Profit FX And Affiliate Sales!”. But you are only going to use that as the basis of your research, which comes next.

When you want the best results from Chat GPT, be specific. What precisely is it that you are looking for? I find the following search strategy rather useful with Chat GPT and ranking videos. Type your search as follows.

chat gpt correct use for youtube videos and seo
Author account screenshot. The image screenshot was captured with “Paint 3D”. Shared by Deon Christie for demonstration and illustration purposes. The author assumes responsibility for the provenance and copyright. The author assumes responsibility for the authenticity.

Now your second, third, and fourth search in Chat GPT may vary from the explanation above. Because you might choose to use a more befitting title suggested by Chat GPT (as illustrated above). See how I used the colon (:) symbol? Because it usually precedes an explanation.

· Best video title: (In this case) Making Money Online With Video Profit FX And Affiliate Sales.

· Best video description: Making Money Online With Video Profit FX And Affiliate Sales.

· Best video keywords and search phrases: Making Money Online With Video Profit FX And Affiliate Sales.

· Best video hashtags: Making Money Online With Video Profit FX And Affiliate Sales

That way, Chat GPT knows exactly that you are looking for a “best video title”, for that specific phrase (Making Money Online With Video Profit FX And Affiliate Sales). See how that works?

Once you have all that, create your video title, description, hashtags, and keywords in the form of a Word document. Because you are going to copy/paste all the needed content to rank your video from Chat GPT.

Using Canva to create your YouTube video.

Now that you have your video title, description, keywords and search phrases, and video hashtags. You are ready to create your YouTube video, for free with Canva. Still focusing on the name of the product you want to promote.

But why is that? Well, focusing on the product means you are targeting people interested in that specific “thing”. Therefore, your video viewers are much more likely to click the link to the product in your video description.

Use affiliate promotional material and create a compelling video, focusing on the key points and benefits of your affiliate product. Below is an example of such a video, which I made a moment ago, for the purpose of this demonstration.

And the real-time ranking statistics I will reveal shortly.

The YouTube video thumbnail was designed with Canva by Deon Christie. The author assumes responsibility for the provenance and copyright. The author assumes responsibility for the authenticity.

Just be creative and explain your product as best you can. Focus on the benefits. Use video clips that resonate with the affiliate product you want to promote. But also pay attention to the video thumbnail.

You also want to create an attention-grabbing video thumbnail, indicating precisely what the video is about. In this case, creating animation videos to boost affiliate marketing sales.

Rank videos on Google and YouTube.

Before you know what, your video is ranking for on YouTube. You will need the two browser extensions mentioned earlier (VidIQ and Tube Buddy). Because the ranking statistics on YouTube you are about to see are VidIQ and Tube Buddy video SEO and ranking results.

Now you are going to use the video title, description, keywords and search phrases, and video hashtags you got from Chat GPT to upload your video to YouTube.

Assuming you have now created your YouTube video and video thumbnail with Canva, as we discussed just a moment ago. You have my example video. But if you’re still not sure, then there are several YouTube tutorial videos about Canva video creation.

Once I uploaded my video, using the Chat GPT content, as seen below. The video is ranking for zero of the suggested keywords and search phrases. But this is where the “extra work” I spoke about earlier comes in.

You will see how all these changes to page one position one on YouTube for ALL the suggested search phrases! The below illustration is a screenshot while I was still uploading the video to YouTube, just to be clear.

Once the video is uploaded and live on YouTube. You want to go to the editing part of the video. With Tube Buddy and VidIQ installed, you will be able to see which of the Chat GPT suggested search phrases your video is ranking for.

But before we move on. When uploading your video to YouTube you also want to ensure you set the video language. Video location and caption certification as illustrated below. You will find this on your YouTube video editor page.

youtube video upload language settings screenshot one

Simply click on the options and the drop-down menu will provide you with language and location options. Hashtags are no longer displayed below videos (as far as I have noticed), therefore including a location is recommended. These are very important.

· Video Language.

· Caption Certification.

· Title And Description Language.

· Recording Date.

· Video Location.

· Video License.

With the video license, you can choose to select the “creative commons” license for your video. That means you will allow reuse. In other words, you allow other YouTubers to use your YouTube video.

Above is an illustration of the first result, this is from Tube Buddy. The video is ranking for only a few of the suggested search phrases and keywords by Chat GPT after uploading it to YouTube. But this gives you the basics to work with!

Use these basic search phrases your video is ranking for, and then change the keywords and search phrases around. Focus on the ones your video already ranks for. Be creative.

As illustrated below, for this exact same video I have shuffled the search phrases and keywords accordingly. And voila! Page one rankings in position one for ALL the search phrases and keywords used!

youtube video upload and ranking analytics screenshot three
Author account screenshot. The image screenshot was captured with “Paint 3D”. Shared by Deon Christie for demonstration and illustration purposes. The author assumes responsibility for the provenance and copyright. The author assumes responsibility for the authenticity.

Just for the heck of it, I played around a bit more. And the video rankings increased even more. With more position-one rankings in both VidIQ and Tube Buddy analytics!

Take note of how the affiliate product is focused on throughout the entire process. From title to description, keywords, and hashtags. All related to the affiliate product you wish to promote. Always focus on one affiliate product per video.

As illustrated below, the independent result with Tube Buddy. Ranking position one for almost every possible search phrase, related to the affiliate product.

That way the visitor to this particular video is most probably interested in that specific affiliate product. Choose affiliate products in demand though, ensuring it might be something a lot of people are looking for. But that is just an extra bonus!

Author account screenshot. The image screenshot was captured with “Paint 3D”. Shared by Deon Christie for demonstration and illustration purposes. The author assumes responsibility for the provenance and copyright. The author assumes responsibility for the authenticity.

As illustrated below, the independent result with VidIQ. Also ranking page one position one for just about all the search phrases around “Video Profit FX”, the affiliate product in this case.

I don’t know about you, but I was blown away by this ranking capability on YouTube. All by using the free version of Chat GPT. But more importantly, adding a simple symbol like the colon (:) Really?

Previously I also used Chat GPT but did not quite get the desired results. By applying this simple approach towards Chat GPT. By being more specific about what precisely it is I am looking for.

Integrating affiliate marketing and sales.

Basically, Linktree is where the “magic happens” with TikTok and affiliate marketing. Providing you with the perfect bridge page for your affiliate offers.

But your content on TikTok plays an important role because you want to be entertaining enough so your video viewers visit your profile. That way you get visitors to your Linktree one-page website from TikTok visitors.

With the YouTube videos you create with this content marketing strategy, you simply include the cloaked affiliate link in the video description. But you also want to add your videos to your Linktree website.

Now you can get visitors from TikTok to your YouTube videos, and your affiliate offers. But you also have options with Your Linktree One Page Website for people to contact you or follow you on major social networking sites.

This is basically a chain-reaction strategy to drive traffic to your affiliate offers. Only this time you have a much more targeted audience!

Word of the wise to affiliate marketers.

When you promote affiliate offers, you want to either purchase or test the product. Or you want to view reviews and testimonials about the product.

Because you must focus on products in demand. Always be sure that your affiliate offer complies with the following.

· Offer a refund guarantee.

· Provide various payment methods including PayPal.

· Check the product’s primary domain.

· Positive review and testimonial videos.

These are crucial elements to making your visitor feel at ease. Knowing they have a “safety net” in the form of a refund guarantee. Just a personal preference, I prefer products that offer several payment options including PayPal especially.

Because with PayPal users know they can dispute a transaction and get refunded if all else fails. All of this is to make your purchaser feel safe, knowing their investment will not be lost.

This Toxic Money Habit Could Derail Your Financial Planning

Many Americans believe social media offers an inaccurate picture of wealth and success; 57% of social media users say that people post to appear more successful, and 51% of users say that social media depicts “unrealistic lifestyles,” according to a 2023 Bankrate survey.

Even so, many of them can’t help but get caught up in the cycle of comparison. Between 2022 and 2023, U.S. adults spent $71 billion on “impulse buys” they were influenced to make by social media, per Bankrate’s data — a fact that backs up an increase in “money dysmorphia.”

How to Get Beat Out Your Competition by Making a Lasting Impression

Published

on

How to Get Beat Out Your Competition by Making a Lasting Impression

Opinions expressed by Entrepreneur contributors are their own.

I’m in the public relations space, and as of last count, there are more than 48,000 other PR firms in the United States. A large fraction of these compete with my agency in the five hub cities where I operate. Yet mine consistently ranks among the highest in those cities — Nashville, for example.

Is it because I know my industry better than my competitors? Because I land more placements for my clients? Because my team is more talented or my network of connections more expansive? As much as I’d like to think that I’m running with the front of the pack based solely on the quality of my services and the effectiveness of my methodologies, it’s far more likely that I earn rave reviews and generate referrals from my clients due to two words: personalized attention.

More specifically, my team and I go well above and beyond to create an exceptional customer experience at my firm because I’ve learned over the years of running my own business that it’s the client’s impression of you that matters most — that’s what informs all other aspects of customer relations, drives all other client decisions and determines if they’ll stay with you or not (even more so than short-term results).

Even in the digital age we all inhabit, with so many automated tasks and productivity tools that populate our workplaces, personalizing the professional is a surefire means to client retention and satisfaction. Here are five practices I regularly follow to make the most positive impression on my clients I possibly can.

1. Get a copy of your client’s org chart

When you understand the structure of your client’s business, you understand who does what, who reports to whom, and, in turn, you know who to go to for what. Not only is this an immense time-saver — as in not filling people’s inboxes unnecessarily with work that doesn’t pertain to them — but your clients will also appreciate that you did your homework on their staffing.

It’s so much more impressive to send a note that says, “Would your team like to see this before we send it up to Jeremy?” or “I believe Bettina has the final sign-off here” than “Are you the right person to contact about this?” And note the use of actual names here — learning the first names of everyone you’ll be working with moves you into first place faster than you’d think!

Related: 4 Ways to Make the Best First Impression With Your Customers

2. Use proper grammar and punctuation

Make sure that all your communications to your client — and, far more importantly, all the communications you prepare on their behalf — are written properly. Yes, it takes some extra work to eliminate errors. Still, it’s absolutely worth the effort when you consider how much just one typo can mar an entire project (ever seen “pubic” instead of “public”?) and how poorly faulty grammar can reflect on quality output, education level and attracting the intended audience.

Though it may be true that language standards are slipping in America, that doesn’t mean nobody’s noticing the shoddy quality of copy. Some people still notice and care. If your client is one of them, you’ll earn bonus points by knowing the difference between “compliment” and “complement” by not allowing both “San Antonio Riverwalk” and “San Antonio River Walk” in the same publication. Use your grammar checker. Always do a spell-check. Re-read everything you produce. And if you don’t have a language maven on staff to serve as your in-house proofreader, hire an affordable freelancer who can provide quick turnaround times.

3. Choose video over audio

Whenever possible, schedule video calls and videoconference meetings over phone calls and phone meetings. The day and age of in-person meetings is quickly becoming obsolete. Still, there will never be a replacement for face-to-face interaction, eye contact, observing facial expressions and showing your client with every head nod and eyebrow raise that you’re following what they’re saying and closely attending to your conversation.

During the pandemic, cultivating one-on-one relationships over Zoom and Teams became the new norm, and most people are entirely fine leaving it that way! Interacting over a screen instead of a conference table is just more convenient, time-effective and environmentally friendly. Nevertheless, we can’t afford to lose the “one-on-one interaction” part of business relationships. Remember the old Bell advertising slogan? Well, video is the modern-day equivalent of “the next best thing to being there,” so leverage your camera as often as possible to “see” your clients, not just talk to them.

4. Mark your calendar!

Notate birthdays, business anniversaries, baby due dates. Keep a record of your client’s big meetings and conference attendance. On those days, send a person-to-person text or email. And the more specific, the better, such as “Hope your coffee product presentation in Jersey went well and the traffic wasn’t too bad on the Parkway!” Or “Congrats on baby Elliot. That was my grandfather’s name, and I hope it serves your brand-new son as well as it did him.”

By incorporating the personal into the professional, which is a pillar of my own approach at my company, clients value your role more because you’ve actively endeavored to become part of their lives, not just an appendage of their business. In other words, when you add personal touches to your communications and conversations, your clients can’t help but think of you on a more human level rather than just a professional contact with whom they can easily cut ties.

Related: 6 Strategies for Making a Good First Impression During Business Meetings

5. Observe the line between personal and professional, but use both — often

On a related but separate note: As much as I’m saying to weave personal connections into your daily dealings with your clients, you never, ever want to go too far. You can use humor, but not off-color humor. You can show vulnerability, but you don’t want to appear weak or indecisive. You can ask questions and admit what you don’t know, but be strategic (not lazy) about trying to resolve issues yourself before coming to your clients with them. And be yourself, absolutely always be genuinely yourself, but don’t expose so much that you cross the line into overintimacy or inappropriate divulgence.

By speckling your client interactions with individual touches as you simultaneously maintain proper decorum, you will put a personal face on your business name. And that name will leave more of a mark on your customers precisely because of your adept balancing act between the personal and the professional.

Part of making a meaningful impression on your clients is consciously putting your best face forward every day, in every way. Don’t let them see a messy office behind you on Zoom, but let them vent about their kid’s tonsillitis for 10 minutes if needed. Don’t bad-mouth other clients or finger-point when things go wrong, but get to know them well enough that you’d love to grab a drink next time you’re in town.

Take every opportunity you can to show your clients — and then remind them often — that “business as usual” to you means being prepared (as in learning an org chart), producing quality output (that’s been proofed), scheduling face-to-face encounters, observing special occasions in their lives and sharing your authentic self, who happens to be a multifaceted, wonderful human being with flaws who’s also an utter professional and a real pro at what you do!
